Whether you’re a pirate that thinks the handsome partner is Kurt, or not…

I think we can all agree is with how David says, “I’m so happy right now,” as he looks at Kurt that he what he really wants is for Kurt to be his handsome partner.

I have to disagree. I don’t even think he can really think in those terms right now. Dave needs to get healthy before he can even consider whom his partner will be.

I disagree as well.  I think that he is just so happy that the burden of keeping his sexuality a secret is gone, and that he has someone he can trust and depend on at his side, holding his hand.

I think there’s no doubt at all that Dave isn’t directing those words to his future partner, but that’s he’s directing them to Kurt right in that moment, and I think it’s clear from Kurt’s reaction that he knows it, too. However, I don’t think he means it in a romantic or sexual way. I think he just means, “I’m so happy that you’re here with me, supporting me, and I know I can get through this with you by my side.” And I think Kurt understands him perfectly.

^Ditto. I can definitely see that Dave might be meaning KURT YOU ARE MY FUTURE, but I think much much more it’s “I’m happy about my present, and that you can be here to help me adjust”. He’s happy. He’s exactly what we’ve wanted him to be since NBK: finally happy.
